Unboxing & First Impressions
The LaOnda Blitz comes in a flat package, securely wrapped in a plastic sleeve to prevent any damage during transit. Straight out of the box, the pad lays perfectly flat with no visible creases or imperfections—something I greatly appreciated. Additionally, there was no noticeable odor, which can sometimes be a minor annoyance with new mousepads.
Key design details include stitching that sits below the surface of the pad, giving it a seamless and professional look. The logo is unobtrusively printed, positioned off to the side, and doesn’t interfere with usage. The Blitz is available with two base options: Medium Soft (3.5mm) and Extra Soft (4mm), offering flexibility depending on your preferences. Personally, I found the Medium Soft base to be an excellent compromise, offering a combination of firmness and comfort that caters to various play styles.

Surface Properties
Friction & Glide
The Blitz delivers a balanced experience, striking a fine line between speed and control. While I don’t currently have an Artisan Zero for direct comparison, I’ve used all Zero base options (Mid, Soft, and XSoft) extensively in the past. From my testing, the Blitz feels slightly faster than the Zero, which aligns with its marketing as a quicker alternative.
The glide is smooth and effortless, yet it retains enough friction to provide a grounded feel, ensuring precise control when stopping or transitioning movements. Notably, the Blitz avoids the “muddy” or sticky sensation that some control pads exhibit, maintaining a natural and fluid swiping experience. This makes it suitable for a wide range of gaming genres, from FPS games requiring fast tracking to precision-oriented click-timing in competitive titles.
To put the speed into perspective relative to other popular pads I’ve used:
(Fastest to Slowest): Blitz > Venus > Zero > Saturn Pro > Heavy Bee > GSR
Feel & Comfort
The Blitz offers a smooth, cloth-like feel with a distinct weave that’s slightly more defined than many other cloth pads. This texture provides subtle feedback during use, helping with controlled micro-adjustments, though it’s not overly rough or grainy. Compared to pads like the Artisan Zero and Superbeings Lab Memoria Pro, the Blitz feels smoother and more refined while retaining just enough texture to keep control-oriented gamers satisfied.
The Medium Soft base strikes an excellent balance—providing a slight cushion for longer sessions without compromising glide consistency. It’s firm enough for responsive control but has just enough give to make arm placement comfortable, even during extended gaming or work sessions.
Performance
The LaOnda Blitz excels in delivering a balanced experience that feels intuitive and natural. While it may not introduce groundbreaking innovations, it refines and builds on the foundation of existing balance-control mousepads like the Artisan Zero. The slightly faster speed compared to the Zero, combined with the smoother texture, creates a pad that feels familiar yet fresh.
For tracking-heavy scenarios, the pad’s glide is consistent and effortless, while the controlled stopping power ensures precision when it counts. Whether you’re playing fast-paced shooters or engaging in precision-heavy sniping, the Blitz adapts well to a variety of playstyles. Personally, I found this versatility to be one of the Blitz’s standout features.
Comparisons
Blitz vs. Superbeings Lab Memoria Pro
While both pads fall into the “balance-control” category, the Blitz is slightly faster and smoother, whereas the Memoria Pro leans more toward a hybrid control pad with a rougher texture. The Memoria Pro offers more pronounced tactile feedback due to its weave, but the Blitz’s softer, smoother surface is easier on the arm during prolonged use.
In terms of base performance, the Blitz’s Medium Soft IPU base feels firmer and rebounds more quickly than the PU base on the Memoria Pro, which allows for more consistent glide characteristics. If you prefer texture and slower glide, the Memoria Pro might suit you better. However, for an effortless yet controlled experience, the Blitz edges ahead.
Blitz vs. LaOnda Pelz
The Pelz, another mousepad in LaOnda’s lineup, is slower and offers a more textured, hybrid surface compared to the Blitz’s smoother cloth weave. The Pelz’s “fuzzy” texture provides more noticeable tactile feedback but sacrifices glide speed. The Blitz is around 1.5–2 steps faster in terms of speed, making it a more seamless transition for those accustomed to pads like the Artisan Zero. Gamers coming from slower control pads might prefer the Pelz, but for those looking for a versatile and balanced upgrade, the Blitz is a better fit.

Final Thoughts
The LaOnda Blitz is an exceptional mousepad that delivers on its promise of providing a premium balance-control experience. With its smooth glide, excellent stopping power, and comfortable base options, it caters to a wide range of gamers and playstyles. Its thoughtful design, competitive pricing, and flat packaging make it an easy recommendation for anyone looking to upgrade their setup.
